The Benjamin Adams Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students at the discretion of the Student Financial Planning Office.

Anonymous Alumni Endowed Scholarship

Established anonymously by caring alumni.

The Anonymous Alumni Endowed Scholarship is awarded by application to 1 Computer Science and 1 Elementary Education major annually based on financial need and academics. Freshmen must have 25+ ACT and be in the top 10% of high school class. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors must maintain a 3.0 GPA in their major.

Anonymous District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established anonymously by a church on the North Central Ohio District.

The Anonymous District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to Juniors or Seniors who are members of the Church of the Nazarene on the NCO District, who have declared a lifelong commitment to ministry, who have maintained a 3.0+ GPA, who have demonstrated financial need and have been recommended by their pastor.

Armstrong Endowed Scholarship

Established by Dan and Norma Armstrong.

The Armstrong Endowed Scholarship is awarded to financially needy students from the Winfield Church of the Nazarene who intend to return to West Virginia after graduation. If there are not any students from the local church, the scholarship may be awarded to qualified students from Kanawha Valley, and then to students from the WVS District.

Armstrong Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Dan and Norma Armstrong.

The Armstrong Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the Winfield Church of the Nazarene who plan to enter full-time ministry or enter Nazarene Theological Seminary, who plan to return to WV after graduation, & who have financial need. If there is no one from Winfield, students from Kanawha Valley, then WVS, may be awarded.

Martha Ashcraft Endowed Scholarship

Established by Martha Ashcraft.

The Martha Ashcraft Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need, who maintain a 2.5 GPA and have been recommended by their pastor and department head.

The Russell & Margaret Bailey Endowed Scholarship is awarded to qualified financially needy Nazarene students from West Virginia. The funds are provided by Russell and Margaret Bailey.

Louis W. Blanpain Endowed Scholarship

The Blanpain Endowed Scholarship is awarded to qualified ministerial students or other students that most closely meet the criteria through funds provided by Louis W. Blanpain.

Tamara S. Bolender Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Tamara S. Bolender.

The Tamara S. Bolender Endowed Scholarship was created as a memorial to the teaching career of Tamara Sue Bolender. The student must be an Accounting major with an overall GPA of 3.5 and have the desire to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The student must also be an official member of the Church of the Nazarene for at least 4 years.

Jay and Lorene Budd Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Jay and Lorene Budd.

The Jay and Lorene Budd Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a Junior or Senior who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, has declared a lifelong commitment to ministry, and is recommended by the Department Head. Financial need is a preference, but not a requirement.

Dorothy H. Burton Endowed Scholarship

The Richard Call Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are majoring in marketing, are Ohio residents, are members of the Church of the Nazarene, have a 3.0+ GPA, are sophomores, juniors or seniors, and have been recommended by the Department Head or a marketing professor.

Rea Carter Nursing Endowed Scholarship

The Rea Carter Nursing Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are majoring in nursing, who have a 2.5+ GPA, and who demonstrate financial need.

Central Ohio Endowed Scholarship

The Central Ohio Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the Central Ohio District who demonstrate financial need, who are members of the Church of the Nazarene, who have maintained a 2.5+ GPA and have been recommended by their pastor and the Student Financial Planning Office.

Central Ohio Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Central Ohio District.

The Central Ohio Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to ministerial students who are members of the Church of the Nazarene.

Childs Endowed Scholarship

Established by David E. Childs.

The Childs Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to students residing outside the MVNU region and who are in need of financial assistance.

Cincinnati Springdale Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the Cincinnati Springdale Church of the Nazarene.

Cincinnati Springdale Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who attend the Cincinnati Springdale Church of the Nazarene, who have declared a major in the School of Theology and Philosophy, and who have been recommended by their pastor.

Class of 1977 Endowed Scholarship

Established by the members of the Class of 1977.

The Class of 1977 Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a son or daughter of a member of the Class of 1977. If none are available, then a grandson or granddaughter of the Class of 1977 may receive the award. After September 1, 2037, this scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the Financial Aid Office.

Clay/Wiens Coshocton Zone Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established in honor of D. E. Clay and Bob Wiens.

The D E Clay/Bob Wiens Coshocton Zone Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the NCO District with first priority being from the Coshocton Zone, majoring in the pastorate or missions, who maintain a 2.5+ GPA, who demonstrate financial need and who have been recommended by their pastor and department head.

Columbus Whitehall Church Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the Columbus Whitehall Church of the Nazarene.

The Columbus Whitehall Church Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to students from the Whitehall Church of the Nazarene who demonstrate financial need and maintain a 2.5+ GPA. Recommendation will be made by the Whitehall Church Board. If no one is eligible from Whitehall Church, students from the Central Ohio District may be considered.

Coshocton First Church Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the Coshocton First Church of the Nazarene.

The Coshocton First Church Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the NCO district with 1st priority going to Coshocton First members, who maintain a 2.5+ GPA, who are majoring in the pastorate or missions, who demonstrate financial need and who have been recommended by their pastor and department head.

Couchenour Social Work Endowed Scholarship

The Couchenour Social Work Endowed Scholarship is awarded to senior social work majors, formally admitted to field placement program with 3.0+ GPA preferred, who have expressed a call to work in a social work field, either in local agency setting or internationally w/ recognized ministry. Cougar Sports Association Endowed Scholarship

Established by supporters of the Cougar Sports Association The Cougar Sports Association Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an intercollegiate athlete who demonstrates church, school, and/or community involvement, who displays leadership qualities and has been recommended by a former coach or teacher. Applications must be made through the Financial Aid Office.

The Crump Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded principally to needy students from the West Virginia North District, majoring in Christian Education or preparing for the ministry.

Jeffrey John Cubbon Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Jeffrey John Cubbon.

The Jeffrey John Cubbon Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to Sophomore, Junior or Senior Religion majors who demonstrate a compassion for the needs of others and a cross-cultural missions commitment. Full-time students in good academic standing who show financial need are considered for this scholarship.

The Dennis Dalton Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a Business or Computer Science major from the Southwestern Ohio District. The student must demonstrate financial need, but is not receiving federal or state grants. Preference is given to Juniors and Seniors.

Dayton Beavercreek Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the Dayton Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene.

The Dayton Beavercreek Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to juniors or seniors who have declared a lifelong commitment to ministry (1st pastorate, 2nd missions or 3rd Christian Ed.), have a 2.5+ GPA, are recommended by the department head and are members of the Church of the Nazarene from SWO District or secondly from Ohio.

Dayton Parkview Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by members of the Dayton Parkview Church of the Nazarene.

The Dayton Parkview Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the SWO District who are members of the Church of the Nazarene, who have declared major in the School of Theology and Philosophy, who have a 3.0+ GPA, and have been recommended by the pastor.

Clifton and Nelle DeBord Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Clifton and Nelle DeBord.

The Clifton and Nelle DeBord Endowed Scholarship is awarded to first- time, especially Freshmen, and returning students from the Eastern Kentucky District who demonstrate financial need, have a 3.0+ GPA in high school or college, with exceptions to the GPA requirement being made in consultation with the district superintendent.

Dial (Caddo Cup) Endowed Scholarship

Established through the estate of Glen Edwin Dial.

The Dial (Caddo Cup) Endowed Scholarship is made available to qualified students who demonstrate financial need. Funds are provided by the Glen Edwin Dial Estate.

Nicole Dickinson Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Nicole Dickinson.

The Nicole Dickinson Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an Education major with a 3.3+ GPA. The student must demonstrate financial need and must have an expressed testimony for Jesus Christ. Selection will be made by the Awarding Committee, which will include two members of the Education Department and one from the Student Development Office.

Hans Dietz Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Hans Dietz.

The Hans Dietz Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are faithfully attending members of Chester Church of the Nazarene in Chester, WV, who maintain a C average and who maintain good moral Christian values. If no one from Chester qualifies, the funds may be used for qualifying students from WVN, then WVS Districts.

David Dooley Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of David Dooley.

The David Dooley Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who plans for full-time ministry, has financial need and has maintained a 2.0 GPA.

Blanche Opal Dotson Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Blanche Opal Dotson.

The Blanche Opal Dotson Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to female students from Greene County, Ohio, who are majoring in Business and are classified as a Sophomore or above with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Dolorees Dutuit Endowed Scholarship

The Dolorees Dutuit Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student with good character who demonstrates financial need and is majoring in either Music or Women's Sports.

The East Central Region NYI (BLAST) Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman who is active in a local church on East Central Region, who is a professing Christian, displaying academic performance in high school, who was involved in NYI on the local, district and regional levels and who have demonstrated service to others.

East Ohio District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by the East Ohio District.

The East Ohio District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the East Ohio District who are members of the Church of the Nazarene, have declared a major in the School of Theology & Philosophy, have maintained a 2.5+ GPA and have been recommended by their pastor.

Eastern Kentucky District Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Eastern Kentucky District.

The Eastern Kentucky District Endowed Scholarship is awarded to new and returning students who have been recommended by the Eastern Kentucky District and who demonstrate financial need and potential for college. The amount is to be established in consultation with the District Superintendent.

Bahram Fessehazion Multi-Cultural Endowed Scholarship

The Bahram Fessehazion Multi-Cultural Endowed Scholarship is awarded to multi-cultural students with preference given in the following order: 1) from Horn of Africa; 2) from continent of Africa; 3) to a minister's child whose parents serve in Africa; or 4) from Eritrean Community of Columbus.

The Chet Foraker Endowed Scholarship is awarded to men's basketball players at the discretion of the basketball coach. This may either be awarded to an incoming freshman or a returning student.

Forseth Family Endowed Scholarship

The Forseth Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded to an education- physical education major as jointly agreed upon by the dept. chairs of the education and physical education depts. The GAR Foundation Scholarship is awarded to Juniors and Seniors who have demonstrated high achievement and scholarship in the field of Business.

The Tim Hodges Memorial Baseball Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a member or recruit of the MVNU Baseball Team, who is a freshman or sophomore, who demonstrates financial need, who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and who has been recommended by the pastor and the baseball coach.

The Rick A. & Victoria A. Johnson Endowed Scholarship is awarded to student with financial need in this priority: 1) from Hocking Co., OH; 2) child/grandchild of MVNU grad from Florida; 3) child/grandchild of MVNU grad working in the mission field; or 4) adult student obtaining a bachelors degree. Klotz Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by Robert and Sarah Klotz.

The Klotz Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are current members of the Fostoria, OH 1st Church of the Nazarene. Peference is given to male Religion majors or male or female students in Intercultural Studies. If none, it may go to dependents of Nazarene pastors. Financial need and a 2.5+ GPA are also required.

Established in memory of Virginia F Lail.

The Virginia F. Lail Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a descendant of Virginia Lail. If there is not a descendant, then the student must be a member of Bethel or Felicity Church of the Nazarene. If there are no students that attend either church, then awarded to a ministerial student in odd years or educational student in even years.

Dr. Joseph Lechner Endowment Project

The Dr. Joseph Lechner Endowment Project is awarded to a junior or senior majoring in biology, chemistry, physical science, computer science, or math, who has maintained a 3.5+ GPA, & has been nominated by the faculty from the Natural Sciences department. This scholarship is awarded by application only and is non-renewable.

Lima Community Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by the members of Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.

The Lima Community Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who have declared major in the School of Theology and Philosophy, have a 3.0+ GPA, demonstrate financial need and who have been recommended by the Department Head and Financial Aid Committee.

Logan Family Endowed Scholarship

The Logan Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded by application to a student from the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene who demonstrates financial need, is a Natural Science or secondly a Social Science major, has a 2.0+ GPA, & is at least a sophomore. If no one qualifies from the church, student may be from Portsmouth Zone, then Scioto Co.

The Merki Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who have declared major in the School of Theology and Philosophy, maintain a 2.5+ GPA, who are sophomores, juniors or seniors, who demonstrate financial need, and who are recommended by their pastor.

Established in honor of Joseph and Peggy Metzger

The Joseph and Peggy Metzger Endowed Scholarship is awarded to two AGS students enrolled in the MBA or MSM programs. The first scholarship is awarded to any student who demonstrated financial need and has a minimum 3.0 GPA. The second one is for a veteran, woman, or minority who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Clayton J Meyer Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Clayton J Meyer.

The Clayton J Meyer Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a Jr or Sr biology major with a 3.0+GPA, who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and demonstrates financial need. Student will be selected by a committee, consisting of representatives from the Biology Dept., Financial Aid Office and the Dean of Students.

Norman & Beatrice Meyer Endowed Scholarship

Established through the estate of Norman and Beatrice Meyer.

The Norman & Beatrice Meyer Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to students from the Springdale Church of the Nazarene, and if none, then to low income students from Mount Vernon Nazarene University as the University Administrator of such funds shall deem best.

Pauline O. Miller Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

The Pauline O. Miller Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who have declared a lifelong commitment to the ministry, who have a 2.5+ GPA, who demonstrate financial need, and who have been recommended by their pastor.

Carl and Della Moles Endowed Scholarship

Established by Carl and Della Moles.

The Carl and Della Moles Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and are from the West Virginia South District. The students must be majoring in Christian Education or preparing for the ministry.

C. T. Moore Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of C T Moore.

The C. T. Moore Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Priority is given to descendants of Rev. Moore.

Percy Morrison Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Percy Morrison.

The Percy Morrison Memorial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is unable to attend without financial assistance. The student must be deemed worthy as determined by the Scholarship Committee. If no one meets these requirements, then one that most closely meets the criteria may receive the funds.

Mt. Sterling, Ohio First Church Endowed Scholarship

Established by the members of Mount Sterling First Church of the Nazarene.

The Mount Sterling First Church Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are members of the Mount Sterling First Church of the Nazarene in Ohio. Student must have a 2.25+ GPA and have a recommendation from the Mount Sterling First Church Board.

Mount Vernon First Church Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by the members of Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene.

Mount Vernon 1st Church Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene from NCO District. The student must demonstrate financial need, maintain a 2.5+ GPA, be a Junior, and be planning a career in the ministry of the missions field as recommended by the Financial Aid Office.

The NCO District Freshman Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the NCO District who are members of the Church of the Nazarene, who have maintained a 2.5+ GPA, who are enrolled full-time (12+ hrs.) as Freshmen, who have been recommended by their pastor and who have met with the NCO District Scholarship Review Committee.

NCO District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship

Established by the North Central Ohio District.

The NCO District Ministerial Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to a ministerial student who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene from the NCO District, who demonstrates financial need, maintains a 2.5+ GPA, is enrolled full-time (min. 12 hrs.) as a Junior, is recommended by Pastor & Internship Supervisor & has met w/NCOD Sch. Review Comm.

NCO District Ministers' Children Endowed Scholarship

Established by the North Central Ohio District .

The NCO District Ministers' Children Endowed Scholarship is awarded to the children of ministers on the NCO District who demonstrate financial need, are members of the Church of the Nazarene, have a 2.5+ GPA, are enrolled full-time (min. 12 hrs.) as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior & have met with the NCO District Scholarship Review Committee.

Northwestern Ohio Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Northwestern Ohio District.

The Northwestern Ohio Endowed Scholarship is awarded to any ministerial student who is a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Petrie Family and Friends Endowed Scholarship

Established by Philip and June Petrie and Friends.

The Petrie Family & Friends Endowed Scholarship is awarded to juniors who are members of the Church of the Nazarene, have financial need, have a 3.0+ GPA, have not received an ACT scholarship and have been accepted into the Education program. The scholarship is renewable for the senior year.

Robert D. Pitcock, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Established in memory of Robert D. Pitcock Jr.

The Robert D. Pitcock, Jr. Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from the New Cumberland Church, WV or to students whose parents were former pastors of the church. Second preference is to go to students from the Weirton Church of the Nazarene. Third preference is to go to any students with financial need.

Phi Delta Lambda Endowed Scholarship

Established by the members of Phi Delta Lambda.

The Phi Delta Lambda Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who are members of the Alpha Chi and who completed an application to be reviewed by the Phi Delta Lambda Council. Candidates will be selected based equally on their scholarship, Christian character, service to others, and leadership ability.

William J. & Evelyn Prince Endowed Scholarship

Established by William and Evelyn Prince.

The William J. & Evelyn Prince Endowed Scholarship is intended for Nazarene students pursuing full-time ministry and demonstrating financial need. Preference is given to upperclassmen.

Pritchard Endowed Scholarship

Established by William A. Pritchard.

The Pritchard Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student from the Painesville Church who maintains a minimum “B” average and demonstrates financial need.

The Charles and Virginia Reesman Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a Sophomore, Junior or Senior who demonstrates financial need, has a GPA of 3.0+ and a 3.5+ in Biology, Physics and Chemistry related sciences and must profess a personal relationship with Christ our Savior by signing a written statement describing such a relationship.

The F. Wayne Reno Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior, who has been recommended by the pastor, department head, or counselor/employer. Student must demonstrate financial need and have maintained a 2.5+ GPA.

Pamela C. Rose Endowed Scholarship

The Pamela C. Rose Endowed Scholarship is to be awarded to students or prospective students, majoring in Elementary Education, a minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrating financial need with the approval of the Education Department.

The B. J. Shoemaker Taylor Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students from Scioto County who demonstrate financial need.

Sizemore Family Endowed Scholarship

The Sizemore Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students who have declared a lifelong commitment to the pastorate, missions or Christian Education. The students must maintain a 3.0+ GPA and be recommended by the Student Financial Aid Office in consultation with the Admissions Comm. regarding Freshman and transfer students.

The Jerry & Ernestine Slabaugh Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in missions, who demonstrate financial need, who have a 2.5+ GPA. Freshmen must be recommended by their pastor. Upper classmen may be recommended by their pastor or the department head.

Southwestern Ohio District Endowed Scholarship

Established by the Southwestern Ohio District.

The Southwestern Ohio District Endowed Scholarship's criteria are: ministerial student, member of the Church of the Nazarene from the SWO District, financial need, 2.7+ GPA, recommended by home pastor, pastor while at MVNU, & religion department.
