"We live by faith, not by sight" 2 Cor. 5:7; "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" Hebrews 11:1 |
| Why I chose my College: |
I visited Mount Vernon during my junior year of high school. I remember attending Chapel and sitting in on a Communications class taught by my (now) favorite professor Dr. Kim. That day was all I needed to decide MVNU was where I needed to be after high school. God gave me this awesome sense of peace about my decision, and I couldn't wait to see what was in store for me at Mount Vernon. I remember how anxious I felt the summer before school started, but I knew this was the place for me. My experience was so awesome, in fact, that I decided to stay and work here! |

|
| Why I chose my College: |
Though I received my undergraduate
at another institution, when I was at the point in life
where I wanted to complete my master’s degree, I chose
MVNU.
A friend of mine, Wally Brandenburg, had completed his
Master’s degree here and recommended it because
he was impressed on how everyone had accepted him and
that the class Spiritual Formation was life changing.
He was right, attending MVNU was one of the most rewarding
experiences of my life. Every time I drove on campus for
a class, I felt happier about my future, myself as a person
and my walk with God!
The students and faculty at MVNU are the best. MVNU’s
mission is the motto of my heart, “to seek to learn,
is to seek to serve.” I’m proud to be a part
of an alumni tradition that is out making a difference
in the world for the Kingdom of God.
